RocDizWay Authentication Process

Our Commitment

At RocDizWay, authenticity is the foundation of everything we do. We specialise in genuine archive designer fashion and are committed to representing every product accurately and transparently.

Every item undergoes a structured inspection before it is approved for sale. We do not rely on AI or assumptions to determine authenticity. AI may assist with content creation, but all authenticity decisions are made through careful human inspection of the physical item.

RocDizWay Authentication Procedure

Stage 1 – Physical Inspection

Each item is physically examined before it is listed.

The inspection includes:

  • Overall condition
  • Construction quality
  • Stitching consistency
  • Fabric or material characteristics
  • Hardware (zips, buttons, rivets, eyelets, buckles, etc.)
  • Shape, silhouette, and finishing
  • Signs of alteration or repair

Stage 2 – Brand Identification

The following branding elements are inspected:

  • Main brand label
  • Size label
  • Care label
  • Woven labels
  • Embroidered logos
  • Printed logos
  • Foil logos
  • Rubber or leather patches
  • Signature branding details unique to the product

Brand names, fonts, placement, spelling, and construction are checked for consistency.

Stage 3 – Product Verification

The physical item is compared against available reference information, which may include:

  • Original RocDizWay archive records
  • Manufacturer product information (where available)
  • Historical catalogue images
  • Previous verified examples
  • Trusted industry reference materials

No product history, production year, material composition, or specification is added unless it can be verified.

Stage 4 – Condition Assessment

Every product is assessed for its actual condition.

Where applicable, we record:

  • Marks
  • Scuffs
  • Wear
  • Creasing
  • Loose stitching
  • Missing accessories
  • Fading
  • Repairs
  • Manufacturing imperfections

Any significant flaws are disclosed within the product listing.

Stage 5 – Photography

Each item is photographed using high-resolution images.

Where appropriate, images include:

  • Front
  • Back
  • Side profile
  • Close-up branding
  • Labels
  • Hardware
  • Sole (footwear)
  • Interior
  • Important construction details
  • Any imperfections

Images are intended to represent the actual item being sold.

Stage 6 – Product Listing Verification

Before publication, the listing is reviewed to ensure that:

  • Product title is accurate.
  • Product name matches the verified item.
  • Colour is correctly described.
  • Size matches the physical label.
  • Measurements (where provided) have been checked.
  • Materials are only stated if confirmed.
  • Images match the physical product.
  • No unsupported claims have been introduced.

Stage 7 – AI Quality Control

AI tools may be used to assist with:

  • SEO optimisation
  • Product descriptions
  • Meta descriptions
  • Image ALT text
  • Lifestyle imagery
  • Promotional content

However, AI must never:

  • Determine authenticity.
  • Invent product history.
  • Invent materials.
  • Invent measurements.
  • Invent production years.
  • Invent colourways.
  • Alter logos or branding.
  • Modify the physical design of archive products.

All AI-generated content is reviewed against the physical item before publication.

Stage 8 – Final Approval

No product is published until a final quality check confirms that:

  • The listing accurately represents the physical item.
  • All branding has been verified.
  • Images and descriptions are consistent.
  • Product information is factually correct.
  • The listing meets RocDizWay’s authenticity standards.

Only after this review is the product approved for sale.

Customer Transparency

If a customer requests additional verification, RocDizWay will provide, where available:

  • Additional photographs
  • Close-up images of labels and branding
  • Close-up construction details
  • Images of any disclosed imperfections
  • Further product information based on the physical item

RocDizWay Authentication Principles

Every product listed by RocDizWay is expected to meet the following principles:

  • Human verification before publication.
  • Accuracy over assumption.
  • Transparency over exaggeration.
  • Authentic representation of every archive item.
  • Honest disclosure of condition.
  • AI-assisted content with mandatory human review.

These principles help preserve the integrity of the RocDizWay archive while giving customers confidence that every listing is presented as accurately and honestly as possible.
